Partner vs. Supplier – we don’t want to be just another supplier to your company; we genuinely want you to see us as a strategic partner. We want you to call so you can bounce ideas off us. We want to have conversations with you when everything is working fine, not just when there’s a problem. We want to get involved in your business so that we can really understand what will help us to make a difference to you. We want to be your most valued business partner.
Clarity vs. Confusion – Clarity means no surprises. So, we aim to be clear in all our communications, be they verbal or written. That means wherever possible we will avoid jargon & acronyms. It will be clear on every invoice what you’re being charged for, and proposals will be written in plain English.
Independent vs. Non-independent – because we’re completely independent, we can supply hardware and software from any manufacturer. In practice we tend towards proven suppliers, but that’s our choice, and is as a result of years of experience not because we have to hit sales targets.
Expensive vs. value for money – tricky one this. Like you, we’re a business, and we need to make a profit in order to survive, however that doesn’t mean that we need to be expensive. There’s a saying that goes something like, “if you buy cheap, you buy twice” and there’s a ring of truth in that. Something is only expensive if it doesn’t deliver on expectations. So, if we do what we said we would do, when we said we would do it, for the price we agreed, that’s not expensive is it?
One-man-band vs. Orchestra – OK, a somewhat forced analogy, but SITM are now a well established business with great plans for the future. What that means to you should you decide to partner with us, is that you aren’t relying on a single person to look after you. You’ll have the benefit of our combined experience & skills.
